In the 1980s, after the successful release of Pac-Man, a group of programmers at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) called "General Computer Corporation" (GCC) developed an unauthorized enhancement kit for the original Pac-Man game. . This upgrade kit was called "Crazy Otto". The intention was to modify the Pac-Man game with new mazes, features and gameplay elements, offering a fresh and exciting experience. Namco, the Japanese company behind Pac-Man, became aware of this project and, instead of taking legal action, decided to work with the American company Midway (the one in charge of distributing Namco games in North America) to develop a version Official and improved game: Ms Pacman.
